WARDOGS Snipers and DMRs: Rifles, Zeroing and Long-Range Play
Compare WARDOGS snipers and DMRs, choose a useful sightline, account for bullet drop and zeroing, and plan ammunition, concealment and replacement cost.
Which sniper or DMR should you choose?
Choose for the sightline and target you expect, then compare cartridge, handling and replacement cost. A useful marksman position covers friendly movement or an enemy approach to the objective. Maximum distance alone is not a reason to buy a larger rifle.

What sniper and DMR options are listed?
The community catalog separates three marksman rifles and five sniper rifles. Open each item for its available fields, attachments and unlock requirements.
| Weapon | Caliber | Recorded price |
|---|---|---|
| AMR 50 | .50 Cal | $8,800 |
| BMR-308 | .308 Win | $6,000 |
| MK22 | .308 Win | $6,400 |
| Mosin Nagant | 7.62x54mm | $4,500 |
| Scout Rifle TD | 5.56x45mm | $1,100 |
| SKS | 7.62x39mm | $2,400 |
| SV98 | 7.62x54mm | $5,200 |
| SVD | 7.62x54mm | $4,800 |
These prices are community records. Compare the complete kit with the current shop before purchasing.
Do you need a DMR or a sniper rifle?
Choose the firing rhythm you can use for the task. A position needing repeated follow-up shots asks a different question from one aimed at a carefully ranged single shot. Compare actual fire mode, cycling, aiming and ammunition instead of relying only on the category.
For closer mixed-range work, compare an assault rifle as well. A marksman kit still needs a way to reach its position and handle a changing fight.
How do you account for bullet drop and zeroing?
Range the target, set an appropriate zero where the equipment supports it, and observe the shot. BULKHEAD describes bullet drop, muzzle velocity, ranging and zeroing as part of long-range combat. A target moving across the sightline also requires time-of-flight judgment.

The ammunition guide explains why the exact round matters. A nominal range value is not a guarantee that every shot at that distance lands without adjustment.
Does a ghillie suit make sniping safe?
No. It can support concealment, but position and movement still decide how exposed you are. Watch the route into your position, leave yourself an exit and move when enemies begin responding.
Do not depend on an assumed killcam effect to remain hidden; check current item and server rules. Compare the gear records before adding the suitβs cost and weight.
How do you make a distant position help the team?
Cover a named route and communicate what you see. A distant kill can remove a threat, but a position with no influence on the Control Zone does little for the score. Tell teammates which approach is watched and where enemies are moving.
Use landmarks for clear callouts and Control Zone rules to judge when to leave the position and rejoin the objective.
