02 / YOUR FIRST MATCH

WARDOGS: Your First Match

Learn the objective, equip for one useful job, and move with teammates. Use this checklist before your first deployment and return to the relevant step when you get stuck.

Your first deployment, step by step

  1. Open the available WARDOGS entry in your Steam library. Check the latest access notice if the game or a temporary test is not available.

    Check purchase and release information
  2. Locate the current zone and your faction in the actual interface. Your first task is to help your team occupy the scoring area, not chase every distant firefight.

    Understand the Control Zone
  3. Start with ordinary infantry or a simple support task. Check each item's current price, ammo compatibility and unlock requirement in the game before confirming a purchase.

    Plan a purposeful first loadout
  4. Follow a covered route toward the objective with teammates. Before boarding friendly transport, check where it is heading and where you can dismount.

    Read the first-life briefing
  5. Help with objective presence or a support action you know how to perform. Read any reward feedback and compare your balance with what you spent; do not assume every action has the same payout.

  6. Review your route, timing and spending before buying again. Change one thing for the next attempt and keep enough cash for further lives.

Quick answers while you play

CONTROLS & SETTINGS

Controls and first-launch checks

Open Settings before deploying. Locate the controls you will need under pressure and set up a voice input your squad can hear.

  • Find map, interaction, inventory, reload and fire-mode bindings.
  • Adjust sensitivity and audio input; find voice-channel and mute controls.
  • Check vehicle, medical and construction controls separately from infantry controls.

GEAR & AMMUNITION

Find the exact item you are holding

Find the exact item name in the database. Check its ammunition, weight, price and unlock requirement before building the rest of your kit around it.

  • Match the ammunition and magazine to the weapon.
  • Read the purchase cost and unlock requirement in your shop.
  • Use the loadout planner to compare how much equipment you will carry.
